Section: 8. APPLICATION INTERNALS
Subsection: 8.1 Spreadsheet Application Internals
Topic: The Spreadsheet Layout
The spreadsheet is divided into separate worksheets or pages in the Excel workbook.
1. Readme 1st: This page contains the information on the current version of the spreadsheet.
2. Instructions: This page contains an overview of the spreadsheet basic operating instructions.
3. Data Entry Table: This page is identified by a light gray shading of the column headings. Data may be entered in the light blue sections only. Historical data has been loaded for Oct-94 through Dec-94, where available. For data which is unavailable, the cells have been left blank. Note: The trend indicators will not be displayed until at least 4 months of data is available.
4. Scorecard: This page is the Scorecard. The only item that can be entered is the date in cell F3. This date controls the "as of" date for all reports (scorecard and graphs).
5. BU: This page contains the Business Unit roll-up report. This report is used primarily by corporate. It is calculated from the DataEntry page. No data may be changed on this page.
6. History Table: This page is the rolling history (latest 13 months of data), identified by a bright green shading of the column headings. This table is entirely computed and nothing should be changed. The data in this table drives all graphs and the Scorecard itself. It uses the Data Entry Table as the source of its calculations.
7a. Trends: This page contains the Trend Line Calculations, identified by a red shading of the column headings. The trend line calculation is a least squares fit of the latest 4 months of data from the History Table. This section is entirely computed and nothing should be changed.
7b. Trend Indicators: The Trend Indicator Table is found on the same page as the Trends, to the right of the Trends Table. It is also identified by a red shading of the column headings. A positive trend indicator is determined by 2 factors: 1) the latest months results are greater than the corresponding months trend line value 2) the trend valence is positive. (i.e., an increasing trend is good) A negative is the inverse. An even trend indicator occurs when the latest months results equals the trend line value. An unavailable trend indicator is displayed on the Scorecard as a 6 character. This section is entirely computed and nothing should be changed.
8. Graphs: This page contains the 19 graphs, identified by a purple shading of the headings. The graphs, from left to right are:
1. Problem Calls per 100 Keystations
2. Queries Solved on First Call
3. Installations by Requested Date
4. Install Lead Time, With Line
5. Install Lead Time, Without Line

12. GetGraphs: This page contains the Visual Basic macros for transferring the graph images to Notes. It should not be changed.
